Ekanem Okon, Principal Research Lead
Ekanem Okon is a lawyer licensed with the Law Society of Ontario and the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She serves as Principal Research Lead at EUZO Research & Policy Inc., where she leads work on human rights–based legal frameworks, regulatory compliance systems, and AI governance.
She is the founder of EUZO Law, an emerging human rights and poverty law practice, with expertise spanning public law, nonprofit governance, administrative law, wills and estates, trusts, child rights, international human rights, and equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI).
With a focus on SMEs, nonprofit and community organizations, and marginalized communities, her research and practice integrate law, policy, and program evaluation to design inclusive compliance tools for navigating complex and emerging regulatory environments, including artificial intelligence.
